Stanford Perioperative Medicine Symposium

For hospitalists, APPs, and other inpatient clinicians caring for surgical patients

The Stanford Surgical Co-Management (SCM) hospitalist section is hosting the inaugural half-day virtual conference on perioperative medicine, designed to provide high-yield, practical education for clinicians who care for surgical patients.

Perioperative medicine is a rapidly growing area of hospital medicine and primary care practice. Clinicians are frequently responsible for perioperative evaluation, perioperative risk stratification, and complex medication management, yet there are relatively few concise educational offerings focused specifically on these topics. Faculty experienced in perioperative care will provide attendees with evidence-based and practical guidance in these areas.
