Hello Stanford community,

I'm a 4th-year PhD student in the Physics department. My wife and I are beginning our search for a 1-bedroom apartment for a move-in date of December 2026.

We know this is exceptionally far in advance, but we are trying to plan ahead as my wife will be moving here to join me. We would be ideal tenants. We are a quiet, clean, and responsible couple. We don't smoke and do not have any pets. We are looking for a long-term home (say minimum 1 to 2 years) where we can focus on finishing my dissertation.

We are interested in places on or near campus, including Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Mountain View.

If you are a landlord who anticipates an opening around that time, or if you have any advice for a long-range housing search, we would be very grateful to hear from you.
