We are a group of (mostly) Stanford postdocs who enjoy the outdoors (climbing, skiing, biking, etc), exercise, crafting, cooking meals, and hosting dinner parties, looking for a new roommate to take over the last few months of a lease, and hopefully renew for another year in September. The House: ⁃ Large 2750 sq. ft. home with open common spaces and spacious modern kitchen ⁃ Driveway parking (first-come first-serve) and free street parking ⁃ Shared with 6 roommates in total ⁃ 3-car garage used for storage, gym (well-equipped! bench, squat rack, barbell, bumper plates, adjustable dumbells + more), and pottery wheel ⁃ Large dining room & living room, lots of seating. ⁃ Basement movie room & lounging area. ⁃ Backyard space with outdoor dining area, propane grill, tiered-garden with fruit trees. ⁃ Solar panels which help keep electricity bill low. - There is a dog already in the house, other pets likely will not work. The Room: ⁃ Carpet floor ⁃ Closet (with more space in hallway and garage) ⁃ Sliding door access to shared balcony ⁃ Access to shared bathroom ⁃ Option to purchase furniture as seen from current occupant (desk, chair, monitor, dresser, mirror, bed) ⁃ $1625 + utilities ⁃ Taking over lease starting June 1st (flexible) until August 31st. Preferred to stay longer term and sign new 12 month lease. Freeway access 3 min away for weekend trips. ⁃ About a 15-20 minute (e-)bike ride to campus ⁃ Many hiking / biking / running trails nearby in Portola Valley, community centers, library. ⁃ Bianchini's market, a handful of restaurants, a post office and gas station are located at entrance to the neighborhood. ⁃ Alpine Inn (beer garden) just down the road.
