Housemate Search in Downtown Menlo Park

Hello there! We're two housemates and friends who are Stanford alumni, excited to find a friendly, respectful, and quiet third person to join us in our cozy 2B1B apartment in Downtown Menlo Park.

Availability:
Starting from February 9th 2025, we're offering one private room with dimensions of 4 by 3.4 meters. It's the perfect space to call your own in the heart of downtown Menlo. A photo of the room for rent is provided for an overview (the 4th photo).

Current Layout:
Our current setup includes one person taking one private room and the other taking an isolated living room. You don't need the old living room to access the kitchen or any other common space. It's on one corner of the house. We've transformed a modest dining room into a comfy living space with TV and a futon, and added a small dining table in the kitchenette. We also have a large patio that we will decorate for outdoor parties.

Location:
Enjoy the convenience of Downtown Menlo Park! Just a quick 1-minute walk to the ECR bus or 7min walk to Menlo Caltrain that takes you to Palo Alto downtown in 10 minutes. If biking is your preference, it's a breezy 15-minute ride to campus. Essentials like Trader Joe’s, the post office, UPS, Safeway, and Walgreens are a 5-10 minute stroll away.

Rent:
Our private room is priced at $1225, with the total lease at $2925. We will share WiFi and energy bills besides room price. A fantastic deal for such a prime location!

Preference:
We're looking for housemates who align with our values and preferences:

• Commitment till end of August preferred
• Month-to-month basis also accepted, but a 2-month notice required if on month-to-month sublease
• Non-smoker
• No couples (our house can't accommodate 4 occupants)
• No pets (we have residents with allergies and a no-pet lease policy)
• Seniors in undergrad or older
• All genders are warmly welcome
• Minimalists at heart – feel free to personalize your own space as much as you'd like!
