I am subletting a room in our charming two-bedroom, one-bath apartment at Rains. The apartment is bright, well-maintained, and has been renovated shortly before we moved in last September. Since then, we have refined the space beyond the standard Stanford furnishings, adding boho curtains, comfortable armchairs, artworks, fans, shoe racks, lamps, an internet router, and mats to create a warm and inviting home. The apartment is also adjusted for persons with disabilities, combining accessibility with the comfort of living.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a toaster, coffee brewer, microwave, dishwasher, and everything needed for daily cooking. For visiting scholars, I would be glad to leave kitchen utensils, plates, pans, towels, and bedding for use during the stay, with the small favor of watering plants while I am away. I would also be happy to discuss arrangements should you wish to use my bicycle.
Rains is a pleasant and welcoming residential community, known for its vivid atmosphere and the many activities organized by residents. It is ideally situated just 5 minutes from Stanford’s main campus, a 10-minute bike ride from Trader Joe’s and Town & Country, and within a similar distance to California Avenue, with its restaurants, taverns, and Caltrain stop.
The room is available from June 8 to September 15, 2026. Preference will be given to those seeking a full three-month stay; I am not considering sublets shorter than two months. The price for a room is $ 1,600/month, which is below Stanford’s rates and not subject to negotiation.
